The API PowerUP Scholarship supports undergraduate students studying power engineering and related fields to build meaningful careers in the Australian energy sector.
The program provides financial support, access to industry connections, and opportunities to engage with the PowerUP student community and API member organisations.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on their interest in the power sector, willingness to learn, and engagement with opportunities provided through the program. As part of holding an exclusive API PowerUP scholarship, students gain access to exclusive opportunities for interviews for placements with API member organisations, including paid industry placements, typically undertaken over the summer at the end of a student’s penultimate (second last) year of study.
These experiences provide valuable, real-world exposure to the sector and can support accelerated pathways into graduate employment, including fast-tracked access to recruitment processes with participating organisations.
